Good Friday: in Mariotto, a small town in the Puglia region, everything is ready for the re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross, until Michael, the blond hairstylist scheduled to play Jesus, sits on the crown of thorns. It is the beginning of a turbulent journey. In the chaos that ensues, Ameluk is volunteered by the local priest to step in and play the part of Christ. The conflict? He is Muslim.
